NC ESC - North Carolina Employment Security Commission.  The ESC's home page provides you with the opportunity to look for a job and information on labor market conditions.

NC Division of Workforce Development  - The state administrative agency for the federal Workforce Investment Act funds as well as the State Employment and Training Grant Program funds.  The division serves as the State's Dislocated Worker Unit.

Dislocated Workers Toolkit  - The kit includes the initial tools that are used to build bridges to organizations and Internet sites that provide valuable information and/or services to dislocated workers. Several compartments within the kit also contain tools to assist you in your job search efforts.

 NC Department of Health and Human Services  - The NC Department of Health and Human Services protects the public health, fosters self-reliance and helps the vulnerable.  We work in local offices, schools and hospitals, building a stronger North Carolina by strengthening North Carolinians in all 100 counties.

U.S. Department of Labor - Center for Faith-Based & Community Initiatives.  This Web site provides information and tools from the Department's ongoing projects to create collaboration between FBCOs, the workforce investment system and employers. This Web site also acts as a resource for the grassroots organizations, Workforce Boards and states currently implementing initiatives with DOL and its Center for Faith-Based and Community Initiatives.

 NC Rural Economic Development Center ( The Rural Center ) - The Rural Center is a nonprofit organization that promotes comprehensive economic development, recognizing workforce development as a building block for economic development.  The Rural Center engages in policy research and advocacy and sponsors demonstration projects to test innovative ideas.  Some current areas of work include dislocated workers, globalization, workforce partnerships involving nonprofit organizations, and entrepreneurship training.
